The iron gate in the Terattis’ backyard suffered years of gradual rust. The proximity of their outdoor swimming pool likely played a role in this!
We unhinged both sides of the double-leafed gate and gave each bar a thorough scraping and polishing. The hinges themselves were beyond repair. We had to remove them with a plasma cutter, and then weld in a new pair of the same size. The work paid off, though, as the gate now looks and functions as if it's brand new.
